Questions
Do I have to issue e-invoices?
It depends on your annual turnover and your group. LHDN has phased e-Invoicing in by turnover since August 2024 and has raised the exemption line for the smallest businesses more than once. Check the latest e-Invoice General Guideline on the LHDN site, or ask us and we'll help you check.
Is there a per-invoice fee?
No. MyInvois submission is included in every plan.
Can I cancel an e-invoice?
Yes, within LHDN's 72-hour cancellation window, straight from the invoice. After that, issue a credit note, which Books also supports.
What about sales to the public who don't want an e-invoice?
Books supports consolidated e-invoices, so you can submit a month of receipts to the public as one document where LHDN allows it.
I sell on Shopify. Can orders be e-invoiced?
